I realize its like beating a dead horse, yet I thought it is worth the time to provide another valid scientific study that identifies the CVSA for what it is.

National Institute of Justice funded.

Kelly R. Damphousse, Ph.D., Professor of Sociology at the University of Oklahoma, along with researchers from the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse used both the CVSA and the LVA while questioning 300 prisoners about their recent drug use.

The responses to questions about their drug use was compared with the VSA/LVA output and the results of the subsequent urine analysis.

CVSA only identified 15% of those as DI that said that they had not used drugs, but the urine test was positive.

CVSA identified 8.5% as deceptive, yet the urine test showed no drugs.

The 1400 police departments that spent up to $20,000 per unit and an additional $11,500 for "specialized training", apparently showed no regard for available research results.

Brunswickt,

This horse is far from dead and it still needs to be beat- so keep it up! Little articles like this one will eventually help us to compile one big book on CVSA.

By the way-check out the uninary conflict on the anti-site between Sack, Sargent and Boy George. Who needs HBO ? !

Ted
